The Difference Between the Theory of Democratic Peace and Our Seminar

Most of you surely heard of the Theory of Democratic Peace. When one makes a search in Google about the relationship between Democracy and Violence, many of the results direct to articles about the democratic peace theory. Well, what is the difference between this and our seminar?

The answer is that there is really no difference. I take this theory as being part of our exploration through the theoretical jungle having to do with democracy and violence. In fact, the theory is part of the international level of our perspective, i.e. conflict between states.

For those of you who are interested in this particular problem, take a look at this linked article about the democratic peace theory and the relationship between democracy and violence.

For those who want to read a German interpretation, here is a link to an article written by Harald Müller. But, I have to warn that it is a bit difficult to read because the German characters do not show correctly. It may depend on your browser. Sorry, but enjoy anyways!
